It was founded in 1873, which makes it one of the oldest municipal museums in Austria. Every year a special exhibition is added. ## Why the trip to the Museum der Stadt Villach is worth it The museum occupies a historic townhouse in the old town, so the tour combines well with a stroll through the pedestrian zone.
